From the very start of this pandemic, UFCW Local 1445 has actively and aggressively worked to make sure our members receive all the protection available to help keep them and their families as safe as possible.

That means we have fought for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment); safe social distancing requirements; regulations regarding quarantine and isolation that would not penalize a member for inadvertent exposure or illness; schedule accommodations for vaccinations and medical treatments; physical barriers and other physical safety measures to protect our front-line members. AND HAZARD PAY FOR ALL OUR MEMBERS WHO ARE ALL ESSENTIAL WORKERS.

We have been fighting with employers; we have been reaching out to elected officials on both sides of the aisle; we have been constantly and continually battling on all fronts to make sure our members are protected as well as possible and are recognized and rewarded for their dedication to making sure their companies and communities are still in business!
